So here is something to look forward to: the online forum series "Kirill Gerstein invites... hosted by Kronberg Academy", in which Kirill Gerstein and figures from the worlds of jazz and classical music, philosophy, musicology and many more besides will discuss a range of varied and eclectic musical topics.
You can attend via Zoom, listen in live, watch and - if you like - even join in the discussion. Each discussion will subsequently be made available on YouTube.
Internationally renowned pianist Kirill Gerstein, who has long had a close connection with Kronberg Academy, has been a principal professor on the Sir András Schiff Performance Programme since 2018. Together with Kronberg Academy, his aim is to exploit the advantages of the internet to organise a virtual forum with people whom a host of logistical problems would prevent from gathering in a physical space.
Each online seminar and discussion will last around two hours, and will be of equal interest to musicians and music lovers alike.
