  3. Founding of the Kronberg Institute for Music and Health

    A new research institute at the intersection of music and health is being established in Kronberg’s Musikquartier: the Kronberg Institute for Music and Health. At the heart of the planned extension building will be a small concert hall serving as a “Living Lab”, enabling scientific studies to be conducted under real concert conditions. A ceremony was held at the Casals Forum to mark the institute’s founding.

     

  4. Sir András Schiff Receives the Praemium Imperiale 2025

    Kronberg Academy warmly congratulates its Artistic Advisory Board member Sir András Schiff on being awarded the Praemium Imperiale 2025, the most important international art prize in the fields of music, painting, sculpture, architecture and theatre/film. The prize is awarded annually by the Japan Art Association and is regarded as the “Nobel Prize of the Arts”.

  10. Honorary doctorate from Frankfurt School of Music for Christoph Eschenbach

    On February 4th, 2024, Christoph Eschenbach, long-time member of Kronberg Academy's Artistic Council, was awarded a Honorary Doctorate from the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt. The awarding was initiated by Kronberg Academy. Kronberg Academy is very pleased about this recognition of the pianist and conductor's admirable lifetime achievement.
