Itamar Carmeli

Born in Tel Aviv, pianist Itamar Carmeli has been studying at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin with Sir András Schiff since 2020.
He has performed at venues such as the Mendelssohn House in Leipzig and the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin and has been a guest at numerous festivals, including the Intonations Festival (Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival), the Red Sea Jazz Festival and the Cambridge Jazz Festival in Massachusetts. He has worked with Michael Barenboim, Benjamin Schmidt, Thomas Demenga, Cesare Pico, the Pierre Boulez Ensemble and the Staatskapelle Berlin, among others.
Itamar Carmeli studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and at the Mannes School of Music in New York. As a jazz pianist, he received a full scholarship to study at the Berklee College of Music.
He is a scholarship holder of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and a graduate of the David Goldman Program for Outstanding Young Musicians of the Jerusalem Music Center.
