A seasoned performer at the ripe age of twenty-three, award-winning violinist Elli Choi is rising quickly in establishing herself as one of the most captivating violinists of her generation.

Choi has performed throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East at esteemed venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall and David H. Koch Theater, the Berliner Philharmonie, Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall, Maison Symphonique de Montréal, Tonhalle Zürich, Rudolfinum Dvořák Hall in Prague, BOZAR Brussels, the Abu Dhabi Palace, and Beijing's National Center for the Performing Arts, appearing with major orchestras such as the Orchestre Philarmonique de Monte-Carlo, the Belgian National Orchestra, the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Salzburg Chamber Soloists, the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, and The Juilliard Orchestra.

Elli has been invited to perform for several heads of states, including President Emmanuel Macron of France and former Vice President Mike Pence at the United States Department of State, as well as the Duchess of Gloucester at Buckingham Palace. She has also enjoyed performing at distinguished events, most notably the 2019 Lincoln Center Fall Gala honoring John E. Waldron, the 2022 KIND gala “Coming Together for Children Alone” held at the Museum of Natural History in New York City, the annual American Chamber of Commerce EU gala in Brussels, and at the World Children’s Day Concert at the Dubai EXPO 2020 as a UNICEF ambassador.

Highlights of her 2025/26 season include her Concertgebouw Amsterdam debut performing Bruch's Violin Concerto alongside the Ulster Orchestra, debuts with the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música performing Brahms' Violin Concerto, and with the Orquesta Reino de Aragón
performing "The Four Seasons" by Vivaldi.

Winner of the Monaco World Music Masters in 2016, Choi has since won top prizes at the Qingdao International Violin Competition, the Classic Strings International Competition held in Dubai, the China International Music Competition, and has most recently been awarded Third Prize at the
Queen Elisabeth Violin Competition.

Elli has since finished her undergraduate studies from Columbia University while simultaneously enrolled at the Juilliard School where she has been studying since 2009, and has recently completed her Master's degree as a Kovner Fellow. She will start studying at Kronberg Academy this fall with Professor Antje Weithaas as part of the Professional Studies.

Choi currently plays a J. B. Vuillaume c. 1840 on generous loan.
Her studies are funded by the Ginko Foundation.
