Anyone who has heard her live knows that Lisa Batiashvili is one of the most charismatic and profound violinists of our time. At the Casals Forum, she will be focusing on a little-known musical culture: that of her native Georgia. The miniatures for violin and strings by Georgian composer Sulkhan Tsintsadze are little musical gems whose lively folk music elements evoke positive emotions and strengthen the sense of community. In addition, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, conducted by Oksana Lyniv, will delight audiences with Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 4 in E minor.
