Guided tour of the exhibition ‘The Art of Fugue’

Known for her works on (late) Romantic string quartets, Stoelting has been inspired over the past two years by Sir András Schiff, among others, to create a new large-format cycle of works.
Using unusual ‘brushes’ – carefully selected plants – she transfers the structures, colours and rhythms of music into the
world of images. Layer by layer, she creates synaesthetic compositions that translate sound spaces into image spaces.
