Christoph Eschenbach admitted to the Artistic Council

Pianist and conductor Christoph Eschenbach has joined the Artistic Council of Kronberg Academy.

Christoph Eschenbach accepted the appointment at the end of the Masters in Performance concert series on 2 July 2017.

The Artistic Council comprises leading artistic personae. It provides advice and support for Kronberg Academy in its efforts to exert an influence on the world of music, its endeavours to convey music appropriately to audiences and the training that it provides for exceptionally gifted young musicians. Marta Casals Istomin, Gidon Kremer, Sir András Schiff and Yuri Bashmet are the other members of the Artistic Council, which was founded by Mstislav Rostropovich (1927–2007).

Christoph Eschenbach is highly esteemed as a guest conductor with the world’s leading orchestras and opera houses.
