Step by step
It is as if you were playing in the ensembles: at the chamber music workshop Mit Musik – Miteinander, any number of musical lights dawn among the members of the audience, too. The audience is part of what happens when up-and-coming new generation artists play chamber music with specially gifted students of school age. The young instructors teach a wide range of things to the 13 to 19-year-olds while gaining initial experience as role models and teachers.
The project, launched and sponsored by the Crespo Foundation, takes place twice a year with young musicians who are the winners of youth music competitions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. An invitation to listen in is extended to anyone who would like to experience the thrill of music taking shape.
Mit Musik – Miteinander is a follow-on project of the internationally respected chamber music festival Chamber Music Connects the World, which is also sponsored by the Crespo Foundation. Every two years, outstanding young musicians come together here as “Juniors” with highly distinguished artists, the “Seniors”, to prepare chamber music works. In Mit Musik – Miteinander, these “Juniors” now step into the role of young tutors.
