Chamber Music Connects the World, junior

The US-American violinist Jason Moon attended the Pre-College division of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under Wei He before completing his Bachelor's degree at the Juilliard School with Li Lin and earning his Master's degree at the Colburn Conservatory with Martin Beaver.

He demonstrated his musical talent in numerous competitions, winning, among others, the Colburn Conservatory Concerto Competition in 2022 and first prizes at the Ronald Sachs International Music Competition and the King’s Peak International Music Competition in 2021.

Jason Moon has extensive orchestral experience. Since 2022, he has been the concertmaster of the Colburn Orchestra as well as the concertmaster and soloist of the Colburn Baroque Ensemble. He has been a member of the Music Academy of the West, Juilliard415, the Mount Vernon Virtuosi, the Juilliard Orchestra, and the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. As a soloist, Jason Moon has collaborated with the Colburn Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony, the Peninsula Symphony, the Menlo Orchestra, and the DVC Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. He has given solo recitals at the Juilliard School and the Menlo School. Notable chamber music engagements include serving as the first violinist of a string quartet for the Colburn Recovered Voices Initiative, participating in the Olympic Music Festival as a chamber music fellow, and being a founding member of the Adonis Piano Quartet.
