The musicians of the Monet Wind Quintet have all won prizes in national and international competitions and are members of major orchestras including the Frankfurt Radio Symphony and the NDR Radiophilharmonie. Since the ensemble was founded in 2013, its members have been bound by an intense rehearsal and concert schedule, which has taken them to venues such as Konzerthaus Dortmund and the Opéra de Lyon.
The Monet Wind Quintet is a regular guest at prestigious international festivals, including the Bonn Schumann Festival and the Davos Festival in Switzerland.
The ensemble was awarded scholarships at the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb in both 2016 and 2019, and has been a prize winner at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition.
After recording Darius Milhaud’s “Scaramouche” with saxophonist Asya Fateyeva for her CD entitled “Carneval”, the ensemble’s widely acclaimed debut CD was released in 2020 featuring works by Paul Taffanel, Gustav Holst, Jean Françaix and Charles Dubugnon.
Among its concerts scheduled for the 2021/2022 season, the Monet Quintett will be a guest at the Philharmonie in Essen and will perform with pianist Fabian Müller.
